Montana to become first US state to ban TikTok

Montana has passed a law banning Chinese-owned TikTok from operating in the state. The app will not be available on Apple and Google's app stores within the state, but individuals will be able to use it. The ban is to take effect January 1, 2024, and is almost certain to face legal challenges.
